Apple has a market cap of $948.6 billion

Apple (AAPL) has a market cap of $948.6 billion. We have already learned that the company’s stock price has risen close to 15% this year. If it beats earnings and revenue estimates in the fiscal third quarter, little more than a 5% jump in its share price would be required for it to reach a market cap of $1 trillion.

Will Apple Be the First to Reach a $1 Trillion Market Cap?

Comparatively, the other top companies in terms of market cap include Amazon (AMZN), Google (GOOGL), Microsoft (MSFT), and Facebook (FB) with market caps of $887.6 billion, $857.3 billion, $827 billion, and $621 billion, respectively.

Amazon is announcing its earnings results on July 26, and the company will require its share price to rise by ~11% for it to reach the $1 trillion mark.

Apple maintains the second-place spot on the Brand Finance list

The Brand Finance US 500 2018 has ranked the most valuable brands in the country this year. Amazon tops the list, as its brand value has risen 42% to $150.8 billion. Apple is in the second-place spot, as the company’s brand value has risen 37% to $146.3 billion. Google, which has seen a rise of 10% in its brand value to $120.9 billion, is in third place.

Apple secured the top position in this list between 2012 and 2016.
